Evan Wang

Evan organizes Vernal Point’s overall investment research efforts and leads due diligence in private equity and venture capital. He also works closely with the firm’s CIO and the Managing Director of Portfolio Management on customized private portfolio construction.

Evan has over a decade of experience as an investor and allocator. Previously, he was the Co-Head of Investment Due Diligence at Rockefeller Capital Management after serving as the Head of Private Markets Investment Due Diligence. This role included managing the third-party manager platform as well as serving as the portfolio manager for the firm’s private equity Fund-of-Funds business.

Prior to joining Rockefeller, Evan was a private investment specialist at Cambridge Associates where he worked with private clients and family offices to build private investment portfolios on both a discretionary and advisory basis. Before joining Cambridge Associates, Evan was a Vice President at a large single-family office.Evan began his career as an attorney, practicing M&A and Corporate Restructuring at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP. He earned a joint JD/MBA degree from NYU in 2011. Evan also received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Cornell University in 2007.
